I was contacted by a real estate agent and a builder to create a House Portrait for a house that had yet to be built. In a case like this I work initially from an architect’s front elevation (seen here).
I then create a drawing softening the home with landscaping and an inviting walkway – details discussed with the builder and the broker.
The final watercolor House Portrait is used in marketing to help the broker pre-sell this house. This home is under construction throughout a New England winter, and having this Spring image allows potential buyers to envision how beautiful the finished home will look.
